Peter J. Buchanan, President B.A., M.B.A., C.M.C.
Peter Buchanan is
recognized as a pioneer and innovator in the fields of executive coaching,
management and leadership development. In his career, he has spent in
excess of 20,000 hours coaching and mentoring 100's of senior executives,
business owners, CEO's and Presidents.
Early in his career,
Peter ran a division of Extendicare Canada. Later, as an entrepreneur,
he raised venture capital and established a successful business in the
security industry ; owned and operated a manufacturing business and
in 1984, founded the consulting firm Management Transitions Ltd.. The
Company specializes in management and leadership development, executive
coaching, group facilitation, team development and consulting in the
area of organizational culture. The Company designed and delivers "Transitions
To Management" (T2M) and "Transitions to Leadership" (T2L), innovative programs for new managers and leaders
in fast-growing entrepreneurial organizations. In 1987, he launched
TEC in eastern Canada when he established the first Toronto TEC group
and has facilitated successful TEC groups since then.
Peter is a life
long learner. He has an MBA from UWO. He received his Certified Management
Consultant (CMC) designation while working in the areas of marketing
and general management at Woods Gordon; he has completed training as
a psychotherapist and has completed specialization requirements for
a degree in cultural Anthropology. One of his mentors is Dr. Frederic
Hudson, the father of executive coaching. In recent years, Peter has
taught leadership in the MBA program at Royal Roads University in Victoria.
